By using these websites or otherwise engaging with RightCount, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

About RightCount

RightCount Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization and RightCount Action Inc. is a 501(c)(4) organization. Together, RightCount’s mission is to promote and support the integrity of elections across the United States by building a network of supporters.

Information collection

To fulfill its mission, RightCount may collect personal information from or about you. This may include your name, email address, phone number, physical address, and the various activities you engage in with RightCount. If you choose to make a donation, we may also request information necessary to process that donation and confirm eligibility under applicable law, including whether you are a U.S. citizen.

We may collect this information directly from you through our websites when you sign up to be a supporter, subscribe to an email newsletter, submit a tip, or contact us through a form. We may also collect information when you engage with RightCount through email, in-person outreach, events, or similar activities. RightCount may also receive information about you from like-minded partner organizations.

We may automatically collect information as you navigate our websites using cookies or similar technologies. This may include website usage and navigation details, such as date and time of visits, pages viewed, referring pages, IP address, device identifiers, device type and operating system, browser type and settings, and other technical information. We may work with analytics service providers to support this collection.

How we use information

RightCount may use the information described above for purposes including to:

  • Provide information, content, and communications related to RightCount’s mission, initiatives, advocacy, and engagement opportunities;

Your privacy choices

Texting With your opt-in consent, RightCount may send automated text or SMS messages to the phone number you provide about advocacy efforts and related engagement. You may reply STOP at any time to opt out. Message and data rates may apply.

Emails You may opt out of receiving certain emails by following the unsubscribe or opt-out instructions included in those communications.

Cookies You can control, delete, or disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain website features.

We use Google Analytics to monitor, analyze, and help optimize use of our websites. You may also manage your preferences directly with Google through available Google Analytics controls.
