Mail Ballot Rule Tested at Supreme Court

Fourteen states allow mail ballots postmarked by Election Day to count even if they arrive at election facilities a certain number of days late. The Republican National Committee successfully sued one of those states, Mississippi, setting up a dispute in the Supreme Court. Declare was present this week during oral arguments, among a tiny crowd that didn’t reflect the case’s big stakes. Miranda Combs reports.
